Manchester United's progress was serene as they dismissed Middlesbrough. Ryan Giggs settled early nerves with a sweetly placed opener and Ji-Sung Park scored on 55 minutes to end matters. United are six points clear of Liverpool. Boro are five off safety.
Giggs set the visitors on the road to victory with just his second league goal of the campaign with 25 minutes gone and Park sealed the points six minutes after the restart as United won at a canter.
